I recieved my bachelors degree in Biology and Geology from Hope College in 1987.  I got my Masters of Education with an emphasis in Biological Science in 1996 from Grand Valley University.


I have been a teacher at Shelby High School for 26 years.  During my tenure I have taught Alegbra 1, Computer Science, Biology, Earth Science and integrated science (earth, physical and chemical sciences.)  I have been involved in several extra-curriculars at SHS which include coaching Track & Field (20 years), Drama Club advisor (19 years), Running Club advisor and Talent Show coordinator.


My husband Paul and I live in Shelby with our "children", Blaze and Sparty (our 2 cats.)  I enjoy golfing, running, reading, going to the beach and hiking and kayaking in the Upper Penisula.
