Running Club

The Running Club starts January 1 and runs though the first week in March.  Students and staff log their weekly miles and each individual's miles are charted on the Running Club bulletin board in the 200 wing of the high school.  As runners achieve 50 mile, 100 mile, 150 mile milestones their names are put up on another bulletin board.  The ultimate goal is to achieve 200 miles with those runners receiving 200 mile club t-shirts graciously donated by our Athletic Boosters.  This year more than 50 students and staff have signed up for the challenge.  Last year 17 people ran 200 miles and as a club runners logged over 4,700 miles.  This year our goal is 4,800 miles.  Every year the Running Club supports a charitable cause, so we are asking that each participant donates 1 food item per week which will in turn, be donated to a local food pantry.
